Welcome to Simple Scrub Cleaning LLC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our residential cleaning services. By booking a service, submitting payment, or using our website, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

2. Services Provided
Simple Scrub Cleaning LLC provides residential home cleaning services throughout Milwaukee's north shore, including Whitefish Bay, Fox Point, Mequon, Shorewood, Wauwatosa, and surrounding communities. All services are performed by independent contractors who are background-checked, insured, and trained to meet our quality standards.
3. Booking & Payments
Services are billed per visit and processed securely through Stripe using credit or debit cards.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment.
The remaining balance will be charged upon completion of service via BookingKoala and processed through Stripe.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Deposits are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
If you are not fully satisfied or something from our checklist was missed, please notify us within 48 hours and we will re-clean the affected area at no additional cost.
We do not offer refunds for completed services.
All appointments include a 1-2 hour arrival window. Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed due to variables such as traffic, weather, parking, and the duration of previous cleanings. Our team will make every effort to arrive at the start of your scheduled window and will contact you if timing changes are necessary.
4. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and effective cleaning, clients agree to:
Pick up personal items and clutter before the scheduled cleaning.
Secure pets during the cleaning appointment.
Provide access to the property at the scheduled time, either by being home or leaving a key or access code.
If our team cannot access your home at the scheduled time, your appointment may be rescheduled and the deposit will not be refunded.
5. Insurance & Liability
Simple Scrub Cleaning LLC maintains general liability insurance up to $1,000,000. Each independent contractor also carries their own insurance coverage.
While we take great care in every cleaning, we do not clean or handle delicate or high-risk items, including electronics, light fixtures, artwork, antiques, or fragile glass. These areas are excluded from our cleaning checklist to prevent accidental damage.
If damage occurs to other items or surfaces during a cleaning, please notify us within 24 hours and we will review the situation and make it right in accordance with our insurance coverage and company policies.
6. Service Limitations
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if a property is unsafe, unsanitary, or violates our company policies. This includes environments with pest infestations, biohazards, or conditions beyond the scope of standard residential cleaning.
Our cleaners do not provide the following services:
Biohazard cleanup (including blood, mold, or bodily fluids)
Removal of large amounts of trash, debris, or hoarding situations
Pet waste or litter boxes
Vacuuming pet-soiled carpet or flooring
Cleaning inside dishwashers or washing machines
Cleaning insect, rodent, or pest droppings
Cleaning areas higher than a 3-step stool or requiring a ladder
Moving or lifting heavy furniture or appliances
Emptying diaper pails or diaper genies
Wiping light bulbs, delicate glass, or fragile fixtures
Washing or putting away dishes
Washing or scrubbing walls
Carpet, tile, or grout deep cleaning
7. Service Agreements
For certain service types, including deep cleans and specialty services, a simple service agreement is required prior to the appointment. This agreement outlines the scope of work, any exclusions, and protects both the client and Simple Scrub Cleaning LLC from disputes regarding pre-existing conditions, areas outside our service scope, or situations that cannot be addressed under standard residential cleaning. The agreement takes approximately 60 seconds to sign and will be sent to you prior to your appointment.
8. Recurring Service Terms
Recurring clients are automatically rebooked according to their chosen schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
To pause or cancel recurring services, please contact us by email or phone with at least 24 hours notice before your next scheduled appointment.
Recurring clients receive discounted rates which are forfeited if the recurring service is cancelled.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction is our priority. If something from our checklist was missed or you are not completely happy with the results, contact us within 48 hours of your cleaning. We will return and re-clean the affected area at no additional cost. No argument, no hassle.
10. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt mediation before pursuing legal action in Wisconsin courts.

Simple Scrub Cleaning is a referral platform, not a cleaning company. We do not provide the cleaning services ourselves; instead, we offer a method for you to book experienced, 1099 independent contractors.
Liability: Because we are a referral service, we are not responsible for the performance of the third-party cleaners. This includes any damage to property, theft, or injury. By using our platform, you agree to release Simple Scrub Cleaning from any claims arising from the services provided by the independent cleaner.
Direct Hiring: To protect our business model, we reserve the right to deny service to anyone attempting to hire our referred cleaners "off-platform" or outside of our service.
2. The Scope of Service
To keep our providers safe and focused on quality, there are a few things they cannot do:
Safety Limits: Cleaners do not use ladders and will not clean from heights.
Exclusions: We do not offer wet-wiping of light bulbs, floor resurfacing/waxing, upholstery cleaning, or large-scale trash removal.
Biohazards: For health reasons, cleaners cannot handle biohazards (including mold, insect infestations, or animal/human waste).
Clutter: Cleaners may skip areas that are excessively cluttered to avoid breakage or safety issues.
3. Pricing and Payments
Adjustments: If a home is in a condition that requires significantly more time than estimated, we may need to adjust the rate. We will always contact you for approval before increasing any charges.
Credit Card Holds: On the evening before your service, we place a temporary authorization hold on your card for the total balance. This is not a charge; the actual payment is processed the morning after your cleaning is finished.
Refunds and Re-cleans: If you aren't happy with the results, let us know! We offer a re-clean of missed areas within a 5-day window. For minor issues, we may offer a proportionate discount.
4. Cancellations and Access
Because our independent providers block off time specifically for you, we have a strict cancellation policy:
The Cut-off: Please submit any rescheduling or cancellation requests by 5:00 PM the day before your service.
Late Fees: Cancellations made after the cut-off, or instances where the cleaner cannot gain access to your home (lock-outs), will result in a $60 fee.
5. Arrival Windows
Our providers have a 1-2 hour arrival window. While they strive to arrive at the start of that window, factors like traffic, parking, and equipment transport can cause delays. We will notify you if your cleaner needs a significant adjustment to their arrival time.
6. Preparing for Your Clean
Valuables: Please secure items of high monetary or sentimental value.
Pets: For the safety of the cleaners and your furry friends, please ensure all pets are secured during the service.
Surfaces: We assume all surfaces (marble, wood, etc.) are properly sealed. If you require a specific cleaning product, please let the provider know ahead of time.
7. Photo Documentation
